Job summary:
As a Solution Lead Engineer, you will be part of the Sales organization. Acting as the voice of the customer, facilitating the interworking between sales, product & development, engineering, and other internal resources in support of a positive customer experience. Your skills shall allow you to envision and create End-2-End solutions that leverage EXFO’s unique portfolio, solve key customer problems and increase the market share as a result by creating compelling product demonstrations and presentations, and provide feedback to the product development team to improve EXFO’s solutions and services.
What will you do:
• Own entire pre-sales technical cycle, including assisting sales manager in closing the sale.
• Use technical and business writing skills used to respond to technical portions of new business proposals, e.g. RFP/RFI.
• Develop and deliver product presentations and/or demonstrations at customers, conferences, trade shows and other venues as required.
• Provide relevant customer feedback to corporate: features, futures, issues, success stories, and competitive field intelligence.
• Provide Pre-Sales product Proof of Concept (POC) oversight to ensure client is successful with products and understands product capabilities. This includes planning, documenting, staging, installing, record upkeep and managing the POC process.
• Own assigned accounts from an overall technical relationship and customer satisfaction perspective.
What are we looking for:
Technical Skills
• Familiar with network monitoring and/or test tools
• Excellent Knowledge of optical physical layer testing (optical dispersion, optical spectral analysis).
• OTDR Theory, Usage
• knowledge of wireline test applications and technologies (Optical, Datacom, FTTx, SDH, Ethernet, etc.)
• knowledge of RF fundamentals such as radiation pattern, beam forming, modulation scheme, multipath, ISI, interference hunting & field test, troubleshooting & problem analysis capabilities is advantageous.
• Hands on implementation experience it’s an advantage.
Required aptitudes
• Understands and is sensitive to the customers’ business requirements, is the customer advocate.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations to all levels of an organization.

• Autonomous, well organized, with strong prioritization skills
• Strong work ethics and results-oriented
Must have
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, related technical studies and/or equivalent experience.
• Between 5 to 10 years’ experience in technical environment, consulting/sales
• Ability to write and speak English
• Travel 40-60%
• Authorization to work in the US
