Responsibilities

  • Maintain the quality of mechanical components catalog used by EXFO;
  • Review and approv specifications of components designed by R&D designers;
  • Work closely with suppliers to make sure they are meeting EXFO specifications;
  • Write and maintain quality inspection plans of incoming material;
  • Communicate non-conformities to suppliers and work with them on corrective actions;
  • Participate to cost reduction projects by qualifying new suppliers or working in continuous improvement projects with current suppliers;
  • Monitor technology changes/evolutions in the machining, sheetmetal wrking, plastic injection molding industries and communicate them to EXFO's technical groups;
  • Recommend new suppliers and technologies to to the R&D teams;
  • Visit and audit suppliers;

 

Qualifications

  • Mechanial engineering degree (or equivalent experience);
  • Excellent communication habilities;
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (read and write)

  • Capable of working in multiples mandates at the same time and good priority management;

  • Leadership, teamwork and autonomy habilities;

  • Willingness to travel within and outside Mexico;
