Job summary

As a key member of the Production Engineering Department you will be responsible to manage PCBA NPI projects and to lead Engineers and Technicians to provide technical support to the manufacturing group. An integral part of the job is working with R&D in Canada and manufacturing team in Mexico to build prototype PCBAs on time and meet quality requirements. Analyzing and summarizing problems, coordinating for material availability and build schedules, driving for continual improvements for yield improvement and reduce scrap.

What you’ll do

  • In charge PCBA NPI projects, include DFM analysis, communicate and coordinate for scheduling, report result etc.
  • Responsible for driving the team to accomplish the department goals and initiatives.  Performance review for subordinate and drive improvement
  • Product technical support for production
  • Lead and organize the team members to solve technical problems and provide suggestion for long term solution
  • Support equipment purchasing, setup, buyoff and management for exist and new equipment
  • Training and develop new employees to be capable of complete their tasks. Coach team members to be able to do the job properly
  • Lead/support/organize the yield improvement, cost down and other continue improvement activities
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve on the quality of process and products
  • Take part in environmental aspects control for the department
  • Other duties may be deemed necessary

 

What we’re looking for

Technical skills

Familiar about fiber optics process, SMT process, and PCBA testing, knowledgeable about quality management system, having track record for project management and team management are assets.

Required aptitudes

Balances priorities, good team spirit, initiative, positive attitude, good MS office skills, organized, strong sense of quality, and detail oriented.

 

 

Must have

Pertinent experience:

With 6 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment would be preferred.
Extensive knowledge of fiber optics.

Language requirements:
Good communication skills in both written and spoken for English and Mandarin.

Education:

Have an engineering degree in electronics or equivalent
