Job summary: Responsible for the import and export of components and our finished product and materials. To ensure all customs requirements are complied with. The shipment of goods should be arranged efficiently at lowest cost.

What you’ll do:

• Arrange export shipments and ensure the goods arrive to destination on time at least cost

• Keep track of the shipment and arrange forwarder to pick up goods as earlier as possible

* Co-ordinate with Purchasing Department for the receipt of the goods

• Apply to Customs for all necessary licenses and permit for the import of components and equipment

• Coordinate payment of Customs duties and VAT on import as needed.

• Keep record of the import documentation and provide to Accounting Clerk all documents required for arranging outgoing remittance.

• Verify bills from forwarders and arrange payment request to Accounting Clerk

• Keep updated knowledge on import rule and regulations

• Maintain Customs LIA records, keep track of the registered product and material quantity and ensures the company uses it to do import of material and export of our finished goods properly.

• Ensure proper Customs LIA system are kept updated. Co-ordinate with warehouse and ensure the record balance match with LIA record.

• Other duties as related to traffic and customs may be deemed necessary

 

What we’re looking for:

Technical skills

• Good knowledge in Customs rules and regulations

• Familiar with SAP is an asset.

Required aptitudes

• initiative, good MS office skills, organized, high attention to detail, a team player, and able to work independently, friendly, and honest.

• good communication skills

 

Must have: Pertinent experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in the logistics and customs field would be preferred

Language requirements: Able to communicate in Spanish (read, write and speak), English is an asset
