1. Undertake all tasks associated with the receipt of equipment requiring Customer Service actions (e.g. repair and calibration) and the receipt of service center inventory.
2. Book RMA’s and Inventory into SAP and ensure Inventory locations are up to date, all parts are numbered and easy to find.
3. Arrange for the timely dispatch of demonstration equipment to customers using the EXFO shipping tool.
4. Assist with customer service/new order shipping activities when called upon (e.g. covering for vacations and busy periods).
5. Assist with packing and unpacking of equipment associated with Customer Service Repair/Calibration units, EXFO Europe Ltd demonstration units, new equipment orders (when required) and all general goods receipts and dispatches.
6. Maintain the ‘daily unit receipt log’ (DURL) on excel software listing details of all equipment returned for repair/calibration.
7. Maintain the ‘proof of delivery’ schedule on excel and contacting couriers by telephone to resolve any customer delivery issues. Scan POD’s and Job Cards into SAP.
8. Ensuring full adherence to the QMS and proposing improvement and development of these systems where possible.
9. Complying with the Company’s Employment, Quality, Health & Safety, IT and Security policies.

What we’re looking for • Qualifications associated with the use of databases (e.g. SAP), management of Demo equipment stocks, manual handling of electronic equipment are desirable
• At least 2 years experience in a modern and progressive manufacturing/service environment.
• Experience in using databases, entering data accurately and proficiently.
• Experience of working within a Total Quality Management environment, specifically BS EN 9001.

 

Must have

• Very good computer literacy and understanding of databases, email and spreadsheets.
• Good verbal and written reporting skills.
• Good ability to understand packing requirements and taking measurements accurately of size and weight. • Good general fitness is required, as some controlled lifting is part of the job. The ability to understand and observe proper Health and Safety practices is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail to produce a high-rate of ‘right-first-time’ results in all work.
• Ability to learn new skills and assimilate new technologies and ideas rapidly.
• Ability to work to ambitious deadlines and under pressure and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
