Job summary
As a Service Center Repair Coordinator you will:
- Support the training of repair technicians and service center staff as needed
- Perform fault diagnostics on test stations
- Perform test station maintenance, updates, repairs, and new test station installations
- Maintain calibration and repair records for test equipment and jigs
- Act as a backup the repair technicians to troubleshoot, repair, or calibrate electronic and optical test equipment as required
- Act as a backup for triage inspections
- Act as a backup for Service Center Planning Technician to plan the workload schedule of RMAs
- Act as a backup for receiving and inspecting RMAs
- Appraise and improve the skill, motivation, knowledge, and attitude of the service center employees as it relates to job performance and impact of the department
- Assist with budgetary planning
- Assist with hiring of service center employees
- Assist with the coordination, priorities, and supervision of the service center team
- Support the implementation of engineering change orders
- Ensure ESD and PPE controls are in place for the entire service center team
- Operate various test equipment and tools needed to perform repairs and calibrations
- Document parts, labour time, and analysis notes in SAP ERP
- Provide capacity updates to the Service Center Planning Technician

What we’re looking for
- Experience electronic and fiber optic equipment
- Experience with analog and digital electronic circuits and technology is required
- Experience with handling of electronic equipment is required
- Experience with electronic troubleshooting and repair methods is required
- Experience with the use of ERP (experience with SAP is an asset)
- Knowledge of EXFO products and operation would be an asset
- Very good computer literacy and understanding of databases, email, and spreadsheets.
- Good verbal and written reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail to produce a high-rate of ‘right-first-time’ results in all work.
- Ability to learn new skills, technologies, and ideas rapidly.
- Ability to work to within deadlines and under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude at all times.

Requirements
- Relevant experience: Minimum 3-4 years of electronic test equipment service experience with good understanding of electronics. Experience with optical equipment is beneficial.
- Language requirement: English (spoken, reading, writing)
- Education: minimum College in electronics program
