Job summary

We are looking for an experienced QA engineer to join one of our Scrum teams in a full-time, permanent position in Valencia. In this role, you will test the applications developed by the team and validate their integration with components developed by other teams. You will also contribute to improving the testing methodology and the CI/CD processes as a QA Lead.

 

What you’ll do

  • Functional and performance testing of the applications developed by the Scrum team
  • Integration testing of 3rd-party components
  • Definition of the test strategy and management of test plans 
  • Analysis of user stories and definition of test cases
  • Execution of manual tests and implementation of automated tests
  • Management of test configurations and test data sets
  • Maintenance of test benches and continuous integration systems
  • Generation of test reports
  • Management of defects
  • Contribute to improving the testing methodology of the team

 

Required Technical skills

  • Experience in functional and performance testing
  • Experience in testing microservices-based applications
  • Experience in testing in continuous delivery environments
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools, like Gitlab and Jira
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks: Robot Framework, JMeter
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, like Gitlab and Jenkins
  • Knowledge of scripting languages: Python, sh/bash, Powershell
  • Knowledge of SQL languages
  • Linux and Windows OS knowledge
  • Knowledge of container runtimes and Kubernetes (test applications deployed on Kubernetes)

  • Willingness to work in a highly team-oriented environment
  • Ability to analyze technical challenges and propose solutions with autonomy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in changing environments
  • Initiative to bring new ideas and propose improvements


Must have

  • Pertinent experience: +/- 3 to 5 years experience in the field
  • Language requirements: Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Education: BS/MS Telecommunications or Computer Science Master Degree or equivalent
